To fully understand what is involved in this appeal, and the basis of decision, it is necessary to refer chronologically to legislation in this State permitting and regulating revocation of future interests conveyed by voluntary deeds to persons not in esse. Changes in the law during the course of the transactions under review have to do with their validity and are challenged by the plaintiffs as infringing rights protected by the Constitution when applied to the power of revocation they now seek to assert. The original grant of the power of revocation must be interpreted, defined and distinguished as to the nature of the right conferred and as to those who are exclusively privileged to exercise it.
